Greetings and welcome to the official website of the Morristown Alumnae Chapter (MAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as the 15th President of the MACnificent Morristown Alumnae Chapter, working for the benefit of the residents of Morris, Sussex, Warren, and Hunterdon counties in New Jersey. We do so proudly with purpose, passion, and a deep commitment to service.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 13, 1913, by twenty-two visionary women at Howard University. Grounded in sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action, our Sorority continues to be a powerful force for change. Since its chartering on March 27, 1987, the Morristown Alumnae Chapter has embodied these principles through impactful programs rooted in the Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:
- Economic Development
- Educational Development
- International Awareness and Involvement
- Physical and Mental Health
- Political Awareness and Involvement
Whether elevating our youth, advancing health equity, uplifting cultural awareness or encouraging financial empowerment, our chapter remains steadfast in its commitment to transforming the communities we serve. In addition, social action remains a core priority of our chapter’s work as we advocate for policies and initiatives that promote access, inclusion, fairness, and justice for underserved populations.
If you are a community member, we invite you to explore our website, stay informed about our public initiatives, and support our events as we work to carry out the bold vision of our Founders. If you represent an organization and are seeking a mission-aligned partner, we welcome opportunities for collaboration and would love to connect. And to our Sorors seeking a chapter home, we encourage you to visit us at a meeting or event - you will be embraced with open arms and Delta love.
Together, as a united community, dedicated partners, and empowered sisters, we can continue to drive meaningful change and create a legacy of lasting impact.
In Service,
Regina A. Ashford
Chapter President
